UK Sales Manager (Retail - Furniture / Homewares) £60-75k + Neg Salary + Major Co. Benefits + Car Choice

Overall Responsibility:


The UK Sales Manager is responsible for promotion of sales for the Company's products and brands portfolio, maximising sales, and gross profit input through sales of the Company’s products to new and existing customers.
Aiming to meet or exceed agreed sales objectives and implementing the strategic plan to support the business growth goals.

Job Specification

• Maximise all sales opportunities for the Company
• Conversion of new business opportunities
• Development of existing customer base
• Introduce and promote all new products
• Promote all “Brand” literature and promotions
• Establish new opportunities for displaying brand product portfolio
• Development of all new accounts ensuring clear communication both internally and externally
• Verification of terms and trading changes
• Build and maintain good relationships and promote the company at every opportunity within the independent retail sales areas & eCommerce
• Work as a team player with all Business Development Managers to develop the business, ensuring that agreed sales and profit margin targets are achieved including KPI's
• Evaluate and act on any changes in the local market conditions, identifying new business opportunities such as product gaps, marketing opportunities, competitor activity etc.
• Utilisation of all relevant and available technology to assist in the profitability of account management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

Personal and Interpersonal Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Ideally qualified to business degree level or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of "Homewares" sector solutions i.e. Furniture, Soft Furnishings, Interior Decoration and Independent homewares experience are key prerequisites!
