Product Manager - LED Lighting £35-48k+ Neg Basic Plus Bonus 

As part of the Product Management team reporting into the UK Managing Director, you will be responsible for looking after the full life cycle of new and existing LED lighting products.
This will be achieved by conducting market research, helping to develop and reviewing a range of products, and co-ordinating with customers and colleagues in the Head Office and factories in the Far East.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working closely with customers to identify and create new product briefs
• Managing the full development process with the Product Managers, Engineers and Product Designers in Asia from initial design concept to final packed product and deliver to the customers expectations
• Involvement in the design, creation and execution of new products for customers and the UK market.
• Identify potential new customers and develop relationships to maximise opportunities
• Managing the commercial aspect of the product, ensuring pricing remains competitive but profitable
• Account management of key accounts
• Management and creation of product related information, pricing, packaging, instruction manuals, data sheets, labels, sales aides
• Monitoring, tracking and organising all approved proposed new product samples
• Manage and maintain the Product Road Map
• Maintain an awareness of trends and techniques in the industry and undertaking training as appropriate
• Ensure product specifications and prices are accurate and updated prior to confirming orders both with clients and the purchasing team
• Maintain product library consisting of: specification sheets, certification, instruction sheets, photometric data
• Identify potential future product lines by reviewing markets and liaising with customers
• Work with the other Product Managers to create New Product Development Roadmaps as required in line with company strategy
• Maintain a detailed understanding of product portfolio, application, competitor products and lighting industry practices
• Travelling to customers premises for meetings and reviews, travelling to exhibitions and conferences and potential travel to the factories in the Far East

Ideal candidate:

• 2-3 years experience in the lighting industry or product management in a similar industry preferred
• A technical understanding or willingness to learn of lighting products and how they work, including the full manufacturing process
• The ability to work on multiple projects at one time, and to tight deadlines
• The ability to work closely with existing and new customers to secure and maximise opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding and use of MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
