UK Specification Sales Director - ££Substantial Six Figure Basic plus HIGH OTE + Exec Benefits PackageROLE:
The Specification Sales Director UK – will act as the primary architect and executor of the UK Sales and Marketing strategy to achieve growth plans, ensuring profitable results for the business and maintaining the reputation for providing excellence as technology solutions provider.
TASKS:
- Lead and develop the National Sales and Marketing strategy to achieve sales growth and profitability levels with existing customer base and targeted new business opportunities via M&E Contractor / Consultant channels.
- Develop and communicate a clear vision of the European growth and profitability strategy which is translated into concrete action plans by all reporting departments.
- Create a Sales & Marketing culture which ensures:-The use of an appropriate mix of sales processes that match the needs and receptiveness of the existing and new business customer base.
- Cross function collaboration between the Sales & Marketing functions and all other corporate functions within the business (R&D, Manufacturing etc).
- The Sales & Marketing teams have the competencies, knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve growth and the necessary support infrastructure (technology, systems) is in place to support these activities.
- Ensure that the UK Sales & marketing strategies and plans:-Create and enhance brand awareness.
- Provide market intelligence of customer needs, competitor activity, and industry awareness.
- Optimize use of multi-channel marketing methods.
- Develop marketing materials and collaterals that are fit for purpose and enhance growth potential.
Act as the organisations executive presence in dealings with customers, strategic business partners, industry organisations etc. Identify strategic business partners and negotiate needed partnership arrangements with other leading players in the Electrical and associated industries.
Explores and develops new sales channels such as e-channels and building technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree level education / Professional Business Qualification.
- Proven track record in a Senior Executive Sales & Marketing role with previous responsibilities in the SSL / Electrical industry.
- Able to demonstrate the following core competencies: - Leadership, Strategic Thinking, Vision Formulation, Customer / Marketing Focus, Results Driven, Decisiveness.
- Experience in leading multi-functional teams across the UK.
- European languages desired but not essential and willing to travel extensively.
- Previous experience of managing a P&L of £20M+
