Job Role
Reporting into the Group Commercial Director, the European Sales Manager supports the European Business Units and Regional Country growth by working with the senior executive team to drive sales strategy throughout their designated regions.Key responsibilities and purpose of the role:
- Responsible for optimising all the key aspects of the organisation’s growth strategy, driving collaborative projects within the company.
- Develop and execute sales & marketing plans / strategies for products and services with clearly defined value propositions
- Evolve and manage the company’s sales strategy to provide business growth opportunities as well as improved customer journey experience
- Demonstrate deep experience in the assigned region that you'll operate within, leveraging expertise around customer insights, macro, and micro trends
- Develop deep customer relationships, leading initiatives for the sales team to leverage with Retail End user clients.ie Online, Home24, Kaufland, Otto, Lightkontor, Baulinger, as an example!
- Communicate as the internal face of International business sales & marketing and occupy seats in International work streams to drive key strategies on behalf of the International regions and the wider Global organisation.
- Responsible for leading and growing a sales organisation on a local & international basis
- Research European market trends and develop products that suit International demands
- Design, implement and communicate organisation's brand to a growing International audience.
- Understand and monitor consumer and competitor trends as a leading retail expert within the company.
- Work with International business leaders on developing appropriate strategies for all regions (local) and in conjunction with Group strategy...
- Define and report on key sales performance metrics.
- Define KPIs, streamline, automate, scale and measure marketing tasks
What are they looking for?
Experience, Qualifications, Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and or a professional qualification preferred
- 10+ years’ work experience in business development, and or sales.
- At least 5 years’ experience selling and management skills
- Significant experience in a B2B and/or B2C leadership role within the "Built environment / Construction" or closely associated industry is required.
- Deep experience in working in an entrepreneurial environment, solid in solution selling through Consumer Retail End users and a track record of leading successful cross functional programs.
- Strong creativity, energy, and significant analytical and marketing rigour.
- Relevant business and Industry sector experience related to a Consumer Product - I.e. (Lighting, and or Electrical Homewares, Manufacturing etc.)
ESSENTIAL
- Direct experience working in a Product Manufacturer, Channel partner and/or service provider, Electrical related preferred.
- Financial budget management experience.
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to make decisions and solve problems
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Visionary, organised and efficient
- A proven track record of success within the industry!!
- Passionate people and team leading skills, including setting direction, building plans, and coaching teams for success
- Based in Germany and able to travel Internationally - Fluent German / English Language skills are essential for this key appointment
