Group Head of Marketing £Substantial Exec Benefits Plus Bonus + Car / Allowance
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a Global Manufacturer. As head of Marketing you will be responsible for the management of the product marketing teams that provides electrical devices and systems, lighting control, switches, sensors and controllers. The technologies are found in commercial, domestic, retail, and consumer environments. Customers include original equipment manufacturers, commercial end users, residential homeowners, contractors, retailers, specifiers and electrical distributors.
Reporting to the UK Managing Director, you will need to be the type of person that thrives at working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and want to learn and grow into future leadership roles. Qualified candidates will be results-oriented, self-driven, and have the ability to successfully prioritize and execute many detailed tasks at any given time.
As an integral member of the team you will:
Oversee UK & Ireland Marketing Team
Partner with business and functional leaders to ensure effective strategy and product roadmap for growing the businessDrive strategic planning process including long term strategic initiatives, near term actions, competitive analysis, market trends and technology
Plan and manage the Marketing budget and contribute to Annual Operating Plan planning activities and take specific ownership for pricing and cost initiatives
Develop market segmentation model with the objective of understanding unique customer needs within those segments
Active participation in Sales Inventory & Operations Planning process for forecasting and inventory planning and to manage working capital metrics as applicable
Product Line Management
Drive continual Voice of Customer activities to validate market understanding as well as to understand customer needs for new product development and to formulate requirements for new solutions to drive growthClosely and continuously interact with the Engineering and Sales teams to ensure all new products are market driven and that Marketing, Engineering and Sales direction are all tightly linked
Lead and manage all Marketing deliverables through the business New Product Introduction and Product Approval Committee processes, and manage product lifecycle, including portfolio rationalization for profitable product line execution
Gather market research, develop winning value equations, manage positioning, pricing, and schedule in a cross-functional matrix environment
Channel Management
Develop and lead all channel expansion and optimization strategy for both developed and developing regions and lead tactical execution effortDrive channel activities such as new product launches, pricing activities, and specific value propositions for targeted solutions by region or channel
Oversee direct, trade and retail channels in the business. Work on synergies between the locations to share and develop best practices
Marketing Communications
- Lead MarCom team to drive productive market communications including promotions, web sites, advertising, trade shows, point of sale, public relations and new product introductions
- Ensure well developed launch plans for new products with effective support materials
- Develop and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, datasheets and catalogues
- Develop and launch print on demand solutions
- Manage brand standards across the business
Skills and Experience required:
Basic Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent
Professional qualification in Marketing preferred
Strong experience in Marketing and Management
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualification in Marketing preferred.
International business experience with both direct and indirect sales channels
Proven expertise in driving growth through new product development
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead teams
Proven ability to segment customers effectively
History of sales and income growth due to strong marketing strategy and execution
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
International business experience with both direct and indirect sales channels
Proven expertise in driving growth through new product development
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead teams
Proven ability to segment customers effectively
History of sales and income growth due to strong marketing strategy and execution
