Divisional Manager - Dubai ( Lighting & Home Automation ) £90-110k per annum plus High OTE + Exec Benefits + Car
Role Summary:
The Divisional Manager drives category growth by developing products, identifying market opportunities, and supporting sales execution.The role involves researching trends, managing suppliers, defining product ranges, pricing, and launch plans.
You will be responsible for owning all supplier relationships and product development within your category, working closely with sales and marketing teams to engage clients, developers, the A&D community, project managers, and contractors in promoting and selling the full range of lighting products and home automation solutions.
Job Function:
• In conjunction with the sales team, generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, hoteliers, and fit-out contractors through regular and ongoing contact.• Network and build relationships within the general project channels, as well as attend relevant industry events.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to create specifications proposals as well as alternative options for clients using the full Lighting / Home Automation product portfolio considering project budget levels and design requirements.
• Supporting the sales team, and providing, at project design stage, indicative budget pricing as may be required by project stakeholders. This includes either direct, or indirect installation advice and technical support as may be required on a project.
• Support the wider product development group to bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements; establishing schedules; performing product demonstrations and presentations to customers and all specifiers.
• Determine market and customers’ needs by conducting the research needed to obtain market information. Assessing competition by comparing the company’s products to competitors’ products.
• Determine retail pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customised orders.
• Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
• Collaborate closely with the Sourcing, quality and technical teams to ensure product specifications, standards and target costs are clearly defined. Visit factories to understand production capabilities and facilitate sample and commercial production.
• Negotiate with manufacturers to agree the final product selection with an acceptable commercial package of terms. Seek out opportunities to leverage commercial relationships to improve margins, take advantage of bulk buying deals and/or secure investment from the manufacturers.
• Build and maintain exceptional product knowledge facilitating the proposal of the most appropriate solutions whatever the project requirement or design brief.
• Introduce a product lifecycle management approach to proactively address product performance and feed relevant actions back into the product development cycle.
Product Responsibilities: Decorative Lighting, Architectural Lighting, and Home Automation Systems.

• Excellent communication skills, highly customer and results focused.• Positive, "can do" attitude, outgoing character and passionate about team building and products.
• Strong understanding of Lighting, Home Automation Systems, and or luxury "High End" building materials products is a must! .
• Excellent commercial acumen and market analysis capabilities.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and factory production processes.
• Very comfortable using reports, presentations and other analytic tools. Must be highly computer literate.
• Ability to multi-task and break down complex problems into manageable elements.
• Results focused, ambitious and highly organised.
