Marketing Communications Manager UK - (B2B) £55-65k + Neg Basic ( DOE ) + Bonus + Benefits
The primary purpose of the Marketing Communications Manager is the development and management of the Marcomms / Digital business revenue stream across the UK. Successful job execution requires excellence / participation in all aspects of the Marketing process from the development and execution of Strategic business plans via the creation of demand with End users and Specifiers ( Architects / Consultants / Contractors ( Installers ) and Trade ( Electrical Wholesalers & Distributors).This position will be responsible to the UK Sales director and based from home with regular office visits.... ( Southern UK )
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Planning, development and implementation of Co.’s UK External and Internal Marketing Communications strategies throughout the UK
- Support distribution partners on an as needed basis to support the business growth.
- Must be self-motivated and able to independently manage various activities with minimal supervision.
- Provide competitive market information to management to help drive the direction of product marketing and development.
- Propose new product opportunities to customer based on customer needs, timing, and compliance with Co.’s core competencies, competitive intensity and general segment attractiveness.
- Responsible for gathering and presenting relevant market information; - trends, market share, legislation, emerging markets & routes to market.
- Ensure articulation of Co.’s desired image and position, including consistent communication of image / brand and position to all audiences, both internal and external.
- Responsible for editorial direction, design, production of UK division publications as well as for the content planning, design and creation.
- Generate Media interest in the Co, maintain regular contact with key target media and coordinate appropriate response to media requests.
- Act as Co.’s representative for product groups with all social media platforms
- Coordinate the appearance of all Co.’s Print and Electronic materials such as letterheads, use of logo, brochures, in compliance with the Corporate guidelines.
- Oversee the brand and ensure compliance with the visual identity guidelines.
- Ensure that the Company regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity & monitor trends.
- Active input with sales management team, focusing on “sales team development”.
- Lead projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
PERFORMANCE METRICS:
- Meets or exceeds quota consistently
- Maintains detailed customer records on an on-going basis, and provides additional written detail on important customer developments or feedback by request.
- Participates professionally and freely with senior management on the business development and planning process. Proactively participates in key planning discussions.
Experience and Skills:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Demonstrated active listening skills
- Ability to gain trust and respect from customers
- Self-motivated with strong drive to achieve business objectives
- College degree
- 3-5 Years General Marcomms experience gained ideally within the Lighting / Electrical / HVAC / Construction Industry, or any Associated Building Materials background...
- Computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Internet Research, and PowerPoint
- Must be UK Resident !

- Demonstrated history of e-Commerce success.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, basic market research techniques, product demonstration, and campaign / digital techniques
