UK HR Leader / Director - ££Substantial Exec Package + Car + Benefits ( North West ) 

 

The UK HR Leader will need to be able to demonstrate a successful record of facilitating change and improvement in the business. You will have experience within the light Industrial / Manufacturing Sector. Ideally you will be used to manufacturing with daily multi-shift operations, and will be familiar with both unionised and non-unionised environments.

The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate an effective record of guiding organisations through a significant period of organisational cultural change and growth. Experience in the deployment of WMS and Lean Systems is desirable but not essential. Some experience of coordinating Health and Safety would be advantageous, but again is not essential.

 

Interpersonal Skills:

You will be articulate and numerate, & must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively as part of the Senior leadership team at all levels within the business. Will also be able to demonstrate effective use of persuasion and negotiating skills to deliver change.

 

  • Responsible for all “Generalist” HR issues
  • Responsible for the Development, Implementation, and Management of HR policies and procedures within the Company and any subsidiary companies.
  • Responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures are up to date and are maintained in line with legislative requirements.
  • Ensuring the Company Handbook for Employees is maintained in line with; the business needs, best practice, and legislative requirements.
  • Managing and participating in disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Introduction and management of employee performance appraisal and review process.
  • Recruitment & Selection of staff across all disciplines & Inductions
  • In conjunction with departmental managers, identification of training needs and development of manpower plans in line with the company objectives and the business plan.
  • Succession planning and management, in conjunction with functional managers, all aspects of inductions.
  • Training & development of staff (at all levels), 350+ including but not limited; evaluation of needs, delivery of training programmes, liaising with external training providers, management of apprentices etc.
  • Management of Industrial Tribunals.
  • Point of contact for, and management of relations with providers of third party agency labour

 

Professional Qualifications:

CIPD qualified

NEBOSH / IOSH trained (Desirable but not essential)
