Lighting Designer (London) £30-35k + Bens

 
As a Lighting Designer within the team you must be a knowledgeable and an experienced professional who knows how to deal with the intricacies of designing and installing electrical systems. Both analytical and creative, successful Lighting Designers solve problems whilst also designing lighting systems that meet the aesthetic and design needs of their clients utilizing the vast portfolio of products that the Company has to offer.

Primary Role

This role is to support the London and South East sales team as a Lighting Designer based in their prestigious London office.
Main tasks within the role will include:
  • Support the sales team and lighting project engineers with lighting design and technical support.
  • Complete both Internal and External lighting calculations using Relux and Dialux.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant Lighting Standards.
  • Prepare both basic and detailed Lighting Layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Complete take offs, luminaire schedules, technical submittals, datasheets, BREEAM documents.
  • Presentation of designs to clients.
  • Complete lighting control proposals based on the proposed lighting scheme.
  • Coordinate with other departments and colleagues.
  • The role will also include Internal & External training, Continual Professional Development and Industry insights.

Qualifications and Capabilities

  • Suitable qualification in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related field, but not essential.
  • Possessing experience in lighting/electrical services.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Being proficient in Relux and/or Dialux lighting softwares.
  • Experience of Revit/BIM preferable.
  • Being proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Showing an understanding of lighting design.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, results orientated with the ability to also work within a team.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
