Senior Water Treatment Engineer – West London (£38-45k+ Neg Basic plus Benefits)

Working for a major TFM Company the successful candidate will ensure that the company operates Safe-water, by managing a water hygiene monitoring program to give Legionella compliance as well as covering all other aspects of water treatment works including tank cleans, Legionella Risk Assessments and Awareness Training, Cooling tower cleans, service calls and plant installation.

The Senior water hygiene engineer, is required to join the water Treatment Team. The successful applicant will be required to work individually as well as part of a team of multi skilled engineers when required. Flexibility is essential as the job involves traveling around to different marquee sites, in the London region evening & weekend overtime work as required. Experience within the water industry and L8 is required. Whilst on site the successful candidate will be liaising with Clients and therefore an incredibly professional manner is vital. The position reports to the Operational Supervisors

Key Responsibilities

• To undertake all aspects of Water Hygiene in accordance with ACOP L8 and Technical Guidance HSG274 including but not limited to:

• Temperature monitoring,
• Cal blow downs,
• Shower Head descales,
• Bacti and Legionella sampling,
• Closed System Analysis
• Tank inspection reports
• Log Book Audits
• To undertake water treatment works, including Potable water disinfections, chlorination work, Tank cleans, Balance tank cleans, Chemical cleaning, and service call work
• To liaison with, and support clients whilst on site to develop strong working relationships and longevity of contracts

Key Skills and Experience

• Good working knowledge of HSG 274 and 282.
• At least one-year experience of Water Hygiene Work
• Effective communication skills essential
• Good computer skills,
• Conscientious and flexible with a good work ethic.
