Global Sales Director (C&I Channel) £Substantial Salary + High OTE £150k+ Car

Overview:

Our Client’s wish to appoint a Global Sales Head for their Commercial & Industrial Lighting Division.

Their focus is to bring a limited number of high performance, in house designed Industrial luminaires to the Global Lighting market. Their current product basket consists of well-engineered Commercial & Industrial luminaires and will be sold into Value Added Resellers (VAR) across EU, Gulf States and the USA.
 

The Role:

They require a professional sales head who can work within a small team and can identify, acquire and build a successful VAR network. The Company believe that have the correct product roadmap to accelerate growth of existing network of VARs and now seek the right high calibre individual to achieve this.

The main initial focus will be Germany, Scandinavia, Baltics, UK, France, Benelux, Gulf states and following successful traction, then into USA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for deciding criteria, developing target list and successfully acquiring new VARs as well as managing and developing the existing network. They will also manage and develop sales agents in certain geographies.

Working with the finance team and product management they will advise and build commercial offer, pricing, and give market feedback on possible niche areas of development. The individual will need to be able to develop an aggressive 3 year development plan and execute.

Responsible for forecasting in the C&I channel to maximise service and utilise working capital to its best effect.

Ideal Global Sales Director will be based in either Germany or France.
 

Key Attributes:

  •         Very entrepreneurial / self-sufficient
  •         Can demonstrate successful track record in developing International business
  •         Experience in selling through VARs/ agents/ Distributors
  •         Experience of building Finance packages around projects
  •         Understanding of VAR market channel
  •         Experience in drawing up agreements of exclusivity and minimum demand levels
  •         Can articulate market changes and advise on strategy to Senior Management
  •         Wide understanding of the International LED lighting market
  •         Prepared to travel extensively
  •         Language skills distinctly advantageous
