Overview

The Asset Strategy Manager is responsible for developing the asset management framework and system for a client and for influencing and developing the client’s approach that enables the client to get the best output of their M&E and Fabric assets of their estate, both tactically and strategically. The scope covers all lifecycle activities and the coordination and optimisation of these. The Asset Manager will lead a significant change programme for the client.

To work with and influence all internal teams delivering asset management services to create a coordinated approach for service delivery on the client account. Produce and present knowledge to the client of proposals with the aim of increasing service delivery on the client account. Produce and present knowledge to the client of proposals with the aim of increasing the performance of the asset management system; improving asset performance, lowering operating cost and reducing risk.

The Role

• Lead and facilitate the development of the asset management framework within the client organisation
• Understand client drivers and business objectives
• Understand existing processes and create future operating models
• Act as the visionary; develop the client’s requirements for an asset management framework, ensuring this meets their business drivers
• Develop and manage the programme for implementing Asset management
• Ensure the embedded Asset Management processes meet the client’s business objectives
• Enabling customer decisions to be made based on the factual and intelligent MI that is provided
• Create recommendations and business cases to improve the asset management system; processes, standards, data requirements, and specific projects, people roles, resources etc.
• Develop Asset Strategy produces/processes as required and grow the team capability
• Ensure the processes used are consistent across the Asset Strategy Team with other clients

Essential Requirements

•                Asset management related qualifications or relevant demonstrable experience
•                Understanding of M&E Systems and terminology
•                Member of Institute of Asset Management
•                Technical understanding of asset management and applicable processes
•                Leading significant change management programs
•                Experience within customer environments
•                Knowledge of SFG20 and ISO55001
•                Ability to manage a wide range of internal and client stakeholders

Desirable

•                Experience of implementing the Asset Management approach or framework
•                Previous experience in a similar role
•                Programme management
•                Data manipulation capability and analytical skills
