UK Marketing Manager (Electrical Sector) £55k+ Neg Basic + Bonus + Car


Overview:

To provide customer insight and marketing expertise to drive and support the national network of branches, via local marketing initiatives and omni channel campaigns, events and promotions. To manage key internal and external communication channels to support the organisation’s corporate & marketing objectives.

  • Build and deliver the annual marketing strategy, in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
  • Responsible for publications and all branch marketing materials, including the monthly ‘Product and Price Guide’ and Branch media TV
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of all relevant material, managing contributors to specified deadlines
  • Deliver internal and external signage and merchandising across the Co's network
  • Creation of branch marketing plans for new, relocated or recovery branches
  • Drive the Multi-channel continuous campaigning and deliver appropriate advertising and PR
  • Identify ways in which activity can improve. Report on and interpret marketing activity, using the results to continuously improve ROI
  • Conduct regular and adhoc customer data analytics to exploit profitable growth opportunities
  • Increase repeat purchase, account re-activation and new account acquisition.
  • Deliver clear brand and range positioning, new product launches, and development of improved or new sales concepts
  • Liaise with a range of external suppliers, such as print management companies and media owners
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of internal departments, including Commercial, Sales, Pricing, Digital and Operations to effectively and profitably develop the offering across the various sales channels, meeting the commercial objectives of the company.
  • Plan, shape and execute customer research and market insight, providing recommendations on approach & content to maximise insights. Build actionable outputs from research to improve performance
  • Production and delivery of the internal communication activity
  • Management and reporting of the Co's Marketing budget
  • Team management and development
  • Manage the ongoing requirements of the Loyalty Programme, liaising with key stakeholders on ‘exception customers’ and rewards. Recommend and oversee campaigns to drive engagement and overall sales

Essential requirements:

  •     Highly creative, "marketing flair" in the role, proven track record of successful campaigns in a competitive, customer focused marketing role within a retail or distribution environment
  •     3yrs+ experience in a similar role, fully up-to-date with all modern marketing techniques
  •     A strong background in brand and customer driven marketing activity.
  •     In-depth knowledge catalogue production, ideally experienced in print procurement
  •     Strong communicator and able to manage across multiple stakeholders
  •     Be obsessed about customers and understanding them
